Approving Requests for Renewal of License

Purpose:

• A license renewal request can be generated or executed for any of the four license types.
• The renewal date is the next calendar date after the license’s earlier expiry date, and the new expiry date is auto-generated as per DoP rules.

Fees:

• ₹475 if renewed within 30 days of expiry.
• ₹375 if renewed earlier.

Prerequisites:

• An active renewal fee deposit transaction must exist in the system.

Steps to Renew a License:

Method 1: New Scenario (Manual request by licensing authority):

• Select NEW from the dropdown menu in the License Renewal screen.
• Enter mandatory details (License Identifier, Licensing Authority Division, Customer Reference Number).
• Validate and submit the request.

Method 2:Open Scenario (Request generated via PORTAL by user):

• Update document status via Document Status Update 
• Select OPEN in the License Renewal screen.
• Proceed with verification and submission.

Detailed Steps:

Log in to SAP using transaction code ZMOFKG.

Navigate to Franking Operations > License Renewal.

Fill in:

• License Identifier (e.g., P001122).
• Licensing Authority Division (e.g., KN06).
• Customer Reference Number (e.g., KN0600065).
• Verify address, slogans, and other details under respective tabs.
• Under License Verification, mark all checks as "Satisfied" or "Not Applicable."
• Click Validate and then Renew License.
• Upload supporting documents (e.g., ACG-67 receipt) and submit.

Result:

• System updates tables, changes status to "Renewed," and generates a new expiry date.

Logging Out:

• Always log out after completing the task.

Error Handling

• Error 42: No renewal requests found.
• Error 36: Renewal successful for CRN.
• Error 177: Open renewal request already exists.
