Subject: Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme – 1980 – Tables of Benefits for the savings fund for the period from 01.01.2025 to 31.03.2025.

Key Details:

• Reference: Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure’s OM No. 7(1)/EV/2023 dated 26.03.2025.
• Purpose: Quarterly issuance of Tables of Benefits under the CGEGIS-1980 for Q1 2025 (Jan-Mar), based on:
• Interest Rate: 7.1% per annum (compounded quarterly), as notified by the Department of Economic Affairs.

Two Categories of Tables:

• Table 1: For employees contributing ₹10/month (1982–1989) and ₹15/month (1990 onwards).
• Table 2: For employees who opted to continue with ₹10/month post-1990.
• Applicability: Includes consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for IA&AD personnel.
• Hindi Version: Attached.

• Interest Rate History: Varies from 10% (1982) to 7.1% (2023–2025).

Fund Allocation:

• Savings Fund: 68.75% (1982–1987) → 70% (1988 onwards).
