Dear Sir/Madam,

As you are aware, the world celebrates the International Women's Day on 8th March every year. This year Department of Posts has planned a Special Podcast of HMOC, HMOSC with Woman GDSS on the occasion of Women's Day 2025 Celebrations. The main objective of this initiative is to highlight the extraordinary contributions of Women GDSS, showcasing their role in providing essential services in rural India under challenging conditions. Their stories will inspire others by showcasing ground-level impact, particularly focusing on life-changing services provided in rural areas and their efforts to overcome adversity.

2. In this regard, it is requested a detailed report, for the annexure attached may kindly be submitted to the Marketing Division on email Id mktdiv.dop@gmail.com.

3. I would request you to make necessary arrangements in this regard at your end for this prestigious event and make it a success.

Instructions for Nominations:

Nomination Criteria:

Each circle is to nominate one female GDS based on the following criteria:

• Extraordinary performance in the provision of last-mile delivery services.
• Ability to operate effectively in all weather conditions. Demonstrated success stories and positive impact in rural India.
• No disciplinary actions (departmental or social) against the nominee.
• Required Documents: Nominations should be supported by,
• A two-page write-up justifying the nomination and detailing the success story or stories.

Photograph of the GDS

Deadline: All nominations must be sent to the Marketing Division, Directorate, by 17th February 2025.

Video Shooting Details:

The podcast will be filmed in New Delhi with the HMOC and HMOSC between 27th to 28th February 2025.

The podcast will be approximately 25-30 minutes in length.

Selected GDSs must be proficient in Hindi or English to engage in meaningful conversation with the ministers.
