Subject: Intimation Regarding Postal JCA's Participation in Agitation Programs in Tamilnadu Circle

The Postal JCA comprising of NFPE, FNPO and GDS unions and its affiliated unions decided to stage series of agitational programme to draw the attention of the Directorate to stop the moves of IDC, Restore the mergered L2 mail offices and introduce ICH and PH in all L2 mail offices and abolishing of Running sections, Arbitrary establishment review with the tightened adhoc norms, the proposal of decentralisation of Postal accounts and the proposal for corporatisation of the postal services.

Being the circle branches of their unions, we have unanimously decided to stage the programmes as notified by the central headquarters without causing any hindrance to the office functions and to record our serious protest against the present move of the Department which we feel deteriorate the service to the public. A copy of the notice served by Secretary General, NFPE, FNPO and other unions along with AIGDSU and NUGDS to the Secretary, Department of Posts, is submitted herewith for kind reference.
