Subject: GDS Online Engagement Schedule-l, January-2025 - preparatory exercise-reg.

Madam/Sir,

This is regarding to carry out the preparatory exercise for GDS Online engagement, Schedule-1, January-2025.

2. In this context, it has been decided to issue notification of vacancies under the GDS Online Engagement, Schedule-I (January), 2025 in the last week of January 2025 and following timelines have been prescribed for completing preparatory activities, as noted below:

3.For the purpose of vacancies calculation, the following vacancies would be included/excluded by the Circle:-

(A) To be Included: -

(a) Vacancies arising between 01.07.2024 to 31.12.2024 due to Death, resignation, transfers, discharge including voluntary discharge, termination/removal/dismissal on disciplinary grounds, promotion, long-term deputation (above six months) to IPPB & APS etc.

(b) Unfilled vacancies of Schedule, July-2024, including vacancies on which the candidate had turned up to the EA but not joined within 30 days of period except those in pipeline as per sub Para (c) below. The unfilled vacancies of Schedule-II, July-2023 and Special Drive, May-2023 for Manipur, [except those in pipeline ].

(c) Followings vacancies will be treated in pipeline:-

Vacancies in Pipe-line

(1) Schedule, July-2024

(i) Pending Verification Reports: -

Candidates whose first verification has been successfully completed in any list but cannot join due to pending verification reports from the following boards:

Board of High School and Intermediate Education, 

Uttar Pradesh (Allahabad Board) 

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education

Bihar School Examination Board

(ii) Pre-Joining Formalities Underway: -

Candidates shortlisted in List-6, whose first verification has been successfully completed, but their pre-joining formalities are in progress.

(iii)Vacancies from the Forth List:-

All vacancies for which the results were released in the List-4 in respect of the following Circles:

Jammu & Kashmir (J&K)

Haryana

Jharkhand

Maharashtra

(II) Special Cycle: May, 2023 (Manipur) and Schedule-ll: July, 2023 (Manipur): -

(i) Pending Verification Reports: -

Candidates whose first verification has been successfully completed in any list but cannot join due to pending verification reports from the following boards:

Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh (Allahabad Board)

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education

Bihar School Examination Board

(ii)Pre-Joining Formalities Underway: -

Candidates whose first verification has been successfully completed in the last list but whose pre-joining formalities are still in progress.

(B) To be excluded: -

(a)Posts declared surplus or proposal for declaring surplus already submitted.

(b) Vacancies caused due to the death of the GDS and a period of six months from the date of death of the GDS has not elapsed as on 31.12.2024.

4. Therefore, the Circles are requested to adhere to the strict timelines kept for completing the preparatory exercise and freezing the vacancies.

5. A certificate duly signed by DPS (HQ) regarding completion of above preparatory works along with total Division wise vacancies to be notified would need to be uploaded in the Portal for generation of final notification and furnished to CEPT under intimation to this office by 24.01.2025.
