Sub: - Regarding posting of HSG-I (NFG) as Senior Postmaster (Group 'B')

Respected Madam,

On the reference subject, this association brings to your kind attention a matter of great concern regarding staffing of Senior Postmaster positions (Group 'B').

2. Presently, the posts of Senior Postmaster (Group 'B') (Pay level 8) are being manned by officers from the PS Group-B (Pay level 9), despite the fact that these positions are one pay level below the existing PS Group-B. It is well known facts that HSG-I (NFG) in pay level 8, who possess expertise in operational work and are at an equal pay level with Senior Postmaster (Group 'B') (Pay level 8), are available for these posts but are not being considered/manned.

3. This situation has led to dissatisfaction among the HSG-I (NFG) Cadre, who feel that their experience and skills are not being adequately recognized. AIASC (Gr. B) strongly opposes the current staffing practice and demands that HSG-I (NFG) officers be considered for the position of Senior Postmaster (Group 'B').

4. AIASC (Gr. B) believes that utilizing the expertise of HSG-I (NFG) officers in these roles would not only ensure efficient management of postal operations, but also provide due recognition to their contributions.

5. Hence, this association prays to review the present staffing policy and demands to post HSG-I (NFG) as Senior Postmaster (Group 'B') equal pay level having capabilities, contributions and expertise in operation line.
