Guidelines for Enhancing Efficiency at Sub-Divisional Offices in India Post

The Department of Posts has rolled out guidelines to boost the efficiency of Sub-Divisional Offices across Karnataka Circle. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and optimize manpower utilization.

Key Guidelines:

• Approval and Validity: The Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, has approved clerical assistance for Sub-Divisional Heads, valid from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
• Manpower Utilization: Divisional offices must maximize the use of Postal Assistants (PAs) in Sub-Divisional Offices, prioritizing operational requirements in case of manpower shortages.
• Clerical Assistance: A PA may be assigned if the combined strength of PA, LSG, HSG-II, and HSG-I exceeds 90%. Alternatively, assistance from the Postmen cadre may be considered if PA strength is below 90%.
• Implementation and Oversight: Divisional Heads are responsible for ensuring adherence to these guidelines, with proper monitoring and reporting mechanisms in place.
• Administrative Concurrence: The guidelines have been recorded under CPMG Diary dated January 2, 2025, and digitally signed by T. Rama Sudhakara Rao, Assistant Director (Estt. & Pig).

These measures aim to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and align with the Department of Posts' goals of efficiency and service excellence.
