Subject: Gramin Dak Sevaks (Grant of Financial Upgradation) Scheme, 2024 - adherence to the time-schedule - reg.

Sir/Madam,

Please refer to this directorate OM no. 17-31/2016-GDS (Financial Upgradation) dated 15.03.2024 whereby the Gramin Dak Sevaks (Grant of Financial Upgradation) Scheme, 2024 was introduced.

2. In this regard, the attention is drawn to the para 5.3 of the said Scheme, wherein the timelines for different activities in connection with financial upgradation has been provided. The scheme, inter-alia, provides for conducting of screening committee in the first week of January in respect of the cases maturing in the second half (July - December, 2024).

3. Therefore, I am directed to request to ensure that the time-schedule is followed by all concerned in the letter and spirit. All the Circles are requested requested to complete the exercise by the stipulated time line and furnish a compliance/status report by 31.01.2025 in the annexed format.
