Drawal of increment in Department of Posts

The rules for drawing increments are as follows:

• If an employee is on duty on the first day of the month in which their increment is due, the increment will be effective from that day.
• However, if the employee is on leave on the first day and subsequent days of the month, the increment will only be drawn from the date they resume duty.

This rule is based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in 1974.
