Transfer Eligibility and Guidelines:
- An official is eligible for a maximum of two inter-circle and two intra-circle transfers throughout their service.
- A mandatory three-year gap is required before availing the same category of transfer for the second time.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates are entitled to one additional chance in both inter-circle and intra-circle transfer categories.
- Female employees who have exhausted their transfer chances but require a transfer to join their parental home after divorce can submit a request to the Chief Postmaster General (CPMG) with supporting documents. The Director-General of Postal Services (DGPS) will review such cases and may grant an additional transfer chance. If approved, the CEPT will be informed to allow the employee to register their transfer request online.
Transfer Request Guidelines:
- Division-level employees can specify up to 10 divisions in their order of preference within a postal circle.
- Circle cadre officials can request a transfer to only one circle.
- Employees can withdraw their transfer requests at any time through the online portal.
- Employees have 72 hours to decline a provisionally approved transfer on the online portal. If they cancel their approved transfer after 72 hours, it will be considered as having availed one transfer chance.
