Allotment to Officers Under Suspension

The allotment of residential accommodation to an officer under suspension should be made as if the suspension had not taken place.

Revised Entitlement for General Pool Accommodation

Officers who are already allotted a residence will not be required to shift to a lower-type residence due to revised entitlement. They can continue to occupy the residence by paying the normal license fee under FR 45-A. However, they will not be allowed to change their accommodation. If they apply for a lower-type accommodation based on their revised emoluments, they may be allotted one.

Authority to Declare Quarters as Dangerous

The certificate declaring a house as dangerous should be issued by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer. Before issuing the certificate, the officer must verify the genuineness of the report. (Reference: DE OM No. 12035/1/91-Pol.II dated 21.02.1991)

Status of Widow in Allotment of Government Quarters

A widow with or without children is treated as a 'Single' Lady officer for the purpose of allotting residential accommodation from the 'Lady Officers' Pool'.
