Grant of leave to the staff working under HSG I Postmaster

In exceptional circumstances, HSG I Postmasters can recommend earned leave and relieve the official of their duties, subject to certain conditions. These conditions include:

  • Leave duration: The earned leave applied for should not exceed three days.
  • No substitute required: If the official proceeds on leave, no substitute is necessary.
  • Leave recommendation: The HSG I Postmaster can recommend leave, subject to the availability of leave in the applicant's credit.
  • Handing over charge: The official can be relieved after following the proper procedure for handing over charge.
If the sanctioning authority later finds that the official doesn't have sufficient leave credit, they should obtain a revised application from the individual for the type of leave they're entitled to. For earned leave exceeding three days or extensions, officials should apply well in advance, following the existing procedure.
