Subject: Clarification regarding cooling off period for deemed availed transfers - reg.
Sir/Madam,
Please refer to your office email dated 09.12.2024 on the above subject.
2. The para 1(iv) and para 1(xi) of the OM No. 17-31/2016-GDS (Pt. I) dated 10.10.2024, may be referred, which, inter-alia, discuss about 'cooling off' period between two successive transfers and refusal to accept the approved transfer order will be deemed availed.
3. In this regard, it may be noted that in case of refusal of transfer, the GDS does not avail the actual transfer opportunity and continues to work on the same post. Therefore, such period would be treated as part of the total cooling off period.
Yours faithfully, Signed by
Ravi Pahwa
