What's New in CSI POS 5.1?

• Max. weight limit is changes to 500 gms.
• Name of Registered Book Packet changed to Book Post however Pricing, tariff, slab etc. is same as existing
• Registered Printed Books service is discontinued.
• Registered Pattern & Sample packet service is discontinued.
• Name of Registered Periodicals is changed to Periodical Post. Pricing, tariff, slab etc. is same as existing.
• There is no such service in CSI System as Ordinary Parcel
• Business Parcel service is renamed as India Post Parcel Contractual. Pricing, tariff, slab etc. is same as existing.
• Registered Parcel is renamed as India Post Parcel Retail. Pricing, tariff, slab etc. is same as existing VAS
• Dimension is updated as per the requirement for Speed Post Document and Parcel in EMS Services
• VPP is renamed as COD Retail. VPMO is renamed as CODMO. VPP VAS is renamed to COD Retail(To Do)
• COD service will remain as it is.
• Registration service will remain as it is
• Insurance service will remain as it is.
• DoP needs to finalize the requirements of Third Party Insurance. Same is on hold and will be implemented later.
• There is no service called Money order in CSI.
• Limit of EMO needs to increased from ₹ 5000 to ₹ 10000.
• DoP needs to provide the revised commission rates (if any).
• There is no identifier available in system which can uniquely identify the recipient. Hence such limits cannot be implemented.
• DoP has suggested to keep a declaration on booking screen, which counter operator will select.
• All these EMOs will be treated as Service Money Orders where no commission will be charged.

• For IPO only 4 denominations will be available - ₹ 10, 20, 50 & 100 from now onwards. No inventory will be created for other denominations
• A new service named "Registered Postcard" is introduced under "Mail" booking. All the booking procedures are same as Inland letter card as per the discussion. Pricing logic is also implemented as per the requirement
