Child Care Leave (CCL) Rules
Eligibility:
- Female government servants
- Single male government servants
Entitlement:
- Maximum of 730 days (2 years) of CCL in entire service
- For taking care of 2 eldest surviving children below 18 years or children with 40% or more disability
Conditions:
- CCL will not be granted for more than 3 spells in a calendar year (except for single female government servants, who can get up to 6 spells)
- Not applicable to probationers, except in extreme conditions
- Minimum duration of CCL is 5 days
- Salary: 100% for the first 365 days and 80% for the remaining period
Combining CCL with Other Leaves:
- CCL can be combined with any kind of leave
- Leave due and admissible (including Commuted Leave without Medical Certificate, not exceeding 60 days, and Leave Not Due) up to a maximum of 1 year can be granted in continuation with CCL
Debiting CCL:
- CCL will not be debited against any leave account.
