According to the CCS (Leave) Rules 1972, a government servant on earned leave, commuted leave, half pay leave (HPL), or leave not due (LND) is entitled to leave salary based on their pay before proceeding on leave.
If a government servant's increment falls due during their leave period, they normally receive the benefit of the increment only after rejoining duty. However, in the event of a government servant's death while on leave, the increment that fell due during the leave period will be taken into account for calculating leave salary up to the date of death. This benefit will be allowed from the due date of the increment, without waiting for the government servant to rejoin duty.
