Appendix III: Guidelines for Casual Leave and Special Casual Leave

Casual leave (CL) and Special Casual leave can be combined, but CL cannot be combined with any other type of leave or joining time.

Key Provisions:

• Sundays, public holidays, restricted holidays, and weekly offs can be taken immediately before or after CL.
• CL is not counted on Sundays and holidays.
• CL can be taken while on tour, but no daily allowance will be provided.
• Half-day CL is permitted.
• CL should not normally exceed 5 days at a time.
• Leave Travel Concession (LTC) can be availed during CL.
• Employees are entitled to 8 days of CL per calendar year.
• New joiners may avail CL proportionately or for the full period, subject to the Competent Authority's discretion.
