Respected Sir,

With reference to the above-cited letter, certain key issues regarding the GDS Online Transfer Cycle, November 2024, need immediate attention. Surplus vacancies, especially over 3000 in Delhi, remain unresolved. Additionally, the portal shows fewer vacancies across the country, limiting transfer opportunities for eligible GDS. This issue is further compounded by the delay in declaring results for GDS to MTS/Postman/Mail Guard posts in many circles, leaving several vacancies unaccounted for.

The guidelines also lack provisions for a tentative second list and mutual transfers, which has caused dissatisfaction among many GDS who are unable to benefit from the transfer cycle. Numerous complaints have been received from divisions across the country regarding these shortcomings, highlighting the limited scope of the current process.

We, therefore, request the department to address these issues by resolving surplus vacancies, updating the portal with accurate vacancy data, declaring results for GDS to MTS/Postman/Mail Guard posts at the earliest, and including provisions for a tentative second list and mutual transfers. These measures will ensure a fair and effective transfer process for all GDS.
