Induction Training for Stenographer Grade-II Cadre
  • The Ministry of Communications has decided to conduct Induction Training for Stenographer Grade-II Cadre.
  • The training aims to enhance their skills in transcription, note-taking, and documentation to improve administrative efficiency.
  • Circles are required to ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place at WTCs for the training and report compliance to the Directorate.
  • Stenographers are also encouraged to complete the course on the Dak Karmayogi Portal and register on the iGOT portal.

This is regarding the Induction Training of Stenographers in the Grade-II Cadre. It is stated that RTC, Nashik, has recently crafted a course titled Stenographer-Induction Training in alignment with the WTDET model mandated by DoPT.

2. As it is acknowledged that the stenographer cadre plays a crucial role in enhancing communication efficiency and supporting the smooth functioning of our offices, their skills in transcription, note-taking, and documentation are essential for maintaining high standards of administrative efficiency.

3. The goal of this course is to cultivate essential domain-and functional-level competencies among Stenographers working in the Department. Completing this course is important for equipping our stenographers with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. The training will not only enhance their capabilities but also contribute to the overall productivity of our teams.

4. Regarding training for Stenographer Grade-II Cadre, the SPN Section, Postal Directorate vide letter No. W-17/31/2021-SPN-I-DOP dated 20.09.2024 (copy enclosed) has stated that Circles may conduct Induction Training for Postman, Mail Guard, MTS and Stenographer Grade-II at any WTC apart from PTCs/RTCs, provided required infrastructure is in place at the WTCs.

5. Circles are requested to ensure that the required infrastructure as per the approved parameters is in place in WTCs so that requisite training can be arranged and certificates can be issued accordingly. Compliance can then be reported to the Directorate in this regard.

6. Accordingly, Circles are also requested to follow the aforesaid instructions issued vide W-17/31/2021-SPN-I-DOP dated 20.09.2024 and ensure that officials working in the stenographer cadre complete the said course on Dak Karmayogi Portal on priority. The course will also be launched on iGOT portal soon and hence it is requested to register online at https://igotkarmayogi.gov.in/ at the earliest.

Gist of Induction Training for Direct Recruits issued vide W-17/31/2021-SPN-I-DOP dated 20.09.2024 

  • The Ministry of Communications has decided to conduct Induction Training for Postman, Mail Guard, MTS, and Stenographer Grade-II at any WTCs apart from PTCs / RTCs, provided required infrastructure are in place at the WTCs.
  • Circles shall ensure that required infrastructure are in place in WTCs, identified for such training, and inform Training Division of Directorate.
  • On receipt of a proposal, Training Division shall examine the availability of infrastructure in the WTC. If appropriate infrastructure are available in a WTCs as per the approved parameters, Training Division shall issue orders for accepting the certificate issued by such WTCs.
