Subject: Revision of financial powers of Heads of Postal Division in the Department of Posts

A reference is invited to this Department O.M. of even No. dated 6th Feb. 2009 on the above mentioned subject. The matter for revision of certain powers of Head of Postal Division contained in Schedule-it of the above O.M. was under consideration since some time past.

2. The matter has now been considered and the Secretary (Posts) is pleased to approve the enhanced financial powers to the Heads of Postal Division of this Department as contained in Schedule -II of the above O.M.

3. Accordingly, existing Schedule-Ill of Schedule of Financial Powers containing the Financial Powers of the Heads of Postal Division stands amended to the extent indicated below.
