OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Periodic Review of Central Government Employees for strengthening of administration under Fundamental Rule (FR) 56(j)/(1) and rule 48 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 1972[now, revised as Rule 42 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 2021]-reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to DoPT OM No.25013/01/2024-Pers. Policy A- IV dated 29.08.2024 and 27.06.2024 (copies enclosed) on the above-mentioned subject whereby it is requested to ensure that the instructions/guidelines in the subject matter are adhered to both in letter and spirit and the requisite report in the prescribed format is furnished to DoPT within the timelines.

In this regard necessary guidelines have already been issued vide this Department letter No. X-19/6/2019-SPN-II dated 07.04.2020.

3. It is requested to take immediate action keeping in view of adherence to prescribed timelines and submit the information in respect of PS Group 'B' Officers in the following format:

Data from 01.01.2024 to 30.06.2024 Number of employees reviewed under FR- Number of cases sent to this office for 56(j)/(1)/similar provisions.

approval of appointing authority is respect of recommendation for premature retirement under FR-56(j)/(1)/similar provisions by the Competent authority.
