FNPO requests inclusion of previous years' unfilled DR vacancies in LDCE 2024 exam
- The Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO) has requested the inclusion of unfilled Direct Recruitment (DR) vacancies for Inspector Posts (IP) from previous years and those arising from IP to Assistant Superintendent of Posts (ASP) promotions in the final result of the Inspector of Posts Examination (IPO) 2024.
- This request aims to ensure optimal staffing within the Department of Posts and provide opportunities for candidates with lower scores.
- FNPO also urges the release of a supplementary promotion list for IP to ASP before announcing the IPO 2024 results to maximize promotion chances for eligible candidates.

Subject:- Request for Inclusion of Previous Year's Unfilled DR Vacancies and IP to ASP DPC Vacancies in the Final Result of Inspector of Posts Examination 2024 - reg.
With reference to the subject mentioned above, I would like to draw your kind attention to a significant matter affecting the fairness of the recruitment process and the interests of numerous candidates who appeared in the IPO Examination 2024, conducted nationwide on September 21st and 22nd 2024.
It has come to notice that several Direct Recruitment (DR) vacancies for Inspector Posts (IP) from previous years remain unfilled, in addition to vacancies resulting from the promotion of Inspectors of Posts (IP) to Assistant Superintendent of Posts (ASP) through the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), as per letter no. X-06/3/2024-SPN-II dated 15.07.2024 (136 posts). Including these vacancies in the final result of the IPO Examination 2024 would significantly increase the number of candidates selected and help ensure optimal staffing within the Department of Posts.
Therefore, I kindly request the inclusion of all available vacancies, including those from previous years and those resulting from the IP to ASP promotions. This measure will provide opportunities for candidates with lower scores and help ensure that all vacancies are filled. Additionally, it is requested to release a supplementary promotion list for IP to ASP immediately before announcing the IPO Examination 2024 results.
Just few days before Hon'ble Earnakulam CAT also directed the Department to declare the results of PSS Group-B exam held on 4.6.2023 within 60 days. If the IP results declare after publishing of the Group-B exam results many vacancies will arise and the eligible aspirants will get more chances to promote as IP.
Hence my Federation sincerely hopes that this request will be considered and appropriate action will be taken to ensure the inclusion of all unfilled vacancies to date.
