Declaration of DA/DR, PLB and ADHOC Bonus to Central Government Employees

The Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers has made a formal appeal to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, seeking immediate declaration of overdue benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), Dearness Relief (DR), and Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB), ahead of the festive season.

Key Concerns:

• Delayed Declaration: The DA and DR installment, due since July 1, 2024, has been delayed beyond its typical September announcement ¹.
• Financial Stability: Central government employees and pensioners rely on these payments, and the delay has caused widespread dissatisfaction.
• Upcoming Festivals: The Confederation emphasized the urgency of declaring PLB and Adhoc Bonus before Durga Puja to ensure employees enjoy the festive season with financial ease.

Request for Action:

The Confederation, led by Secretary General S.B. Yadav, urged the Finance Minister to:

• Expedite declaration of DA, DR, and bonus orders.
• Address growing discontent among employees and pensioners.
• Provide timely relief ahead of the festive season.

Respected Madam,

I would like to draw your kind attention towards non declaration of the due installment of DA/ DR w.e.f. from 01-07-2024, normally it used to be declared in the last week of September and three months arrears paid in first week of October.

Severe discontent is there amongst employees and pensioners, over the delay in Announcement of the same.

Similarly, Durga Puja festival is approaching and the PLB and Adhoc Bonus too, are to be declared.

The Confederation seeks your immediate intervention in the above matter and request you to kindly cause the Declaration/Issuance of DA/ DR order’s and the Bonus order’s, timely
