ADDENDUM

Sub:- Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the posts of Postman and Mail Guard from eligible Multi-Tasking Staff officials for the vacancy year 2024 (01-01-2024 to 31-12-2024) - Regarding.

This is in continuation to this office NOTIFICATION of even number dated 15-07- 2024 on aforementioned subject regarding-Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the posts of Postman and Mail Guard from eligible MTS for the vacancy year 2024 (01-01-2024 to 31-12-2024) - insertion of relaxation of one year in case of MTS with combined service of GDS. As directed by Postal Directorate New Delhi vide letter having F.No. 03-03/2019-SPN-I (Pt.1) dated 30-07- 2024 that the relaxation of one year in service eligibility condition has been given to both GDS and MTS. Accordingly, GDS with 4 years of service is eligible for Postman/Mail Guard. So keeping in view of above and notification issued vide this office of even no. dated 15-07-2024, now the following clause shall be inserted in the said notification below point no. 3 (eligibility criteria) as 3 (i) - A:-

Point 3 (i) -A- MTS with total regular service of four (4) years, including service rendered regularly as Gramin Dak Sevaks, as on 01.01.2024, are also eligible for 2024 vacancy year.

Further, it is added that the last date of receiving application for said examination is extended upto 10.08.2024 (Saturday).

This is issued with the approval of competent authority.

3-12. All Divisional/ Unit Heads in HP Circle for information and giving wide publicity amongst eligible candidates working in division/unit. Ensure timely action as per the instructions contained in this Notification for smooth conduct of this examination process. All Divisional/Unit heads may acknowledge the receipt of this Notification & also send the required number of copies to the concerned Unions for their info & necessary action.

13.Officer In-Charge, P&T Admin. Cell, APS Training Centre C/o 56 APO 900746 for similar action as in above point.

14.SS (O&M), Circle Office, Shimla-9 for displaying this notification on the Notice Board.
