This is in continuation with this office memo of even no. dated 24.06.2024 and 04.07.2024, where-under result/supplementary result of the Competitive Examination for recruitment to the cadre of MTS from eligible GDS for the vacancy year 2023 (01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023) held on 30.04.2023, was declared. Now, the Competent Authority is pleased to announce the 2nd Supplementary Result in respect of Competitive Examination for recruitment to the cadre of MTS from eligible GDS for the vacancy year 2023 (01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023) on the basis of available vacancy arisen due to submission of refusal to join the post by the candidates, attached as Annexure-I.
2. For qualifying criteria for each paper of the said examination, Postal Directorate instructions contained in letter no. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 05.04.2022 have been referred to.
3. Every care has been taken while preparing the result, however if, any discrepancy come to notice, it may be reported to this office immediately before issuing the result to the successful candidates.
4. Offer of appointment/promotion will be given by concerned Divisions/Units to selected candidates with the instructions contained in Para 2 (C) and 2(J) of Postal Dte. Letter No. 17-08/2018- SPN-I dated 15.06.2022 must be mentioned, where there is instructions that "the promotion/appointment orders will be issued to the selected candidates clearly indicating that, if the official does not join the promotional/appointment post within 03 (three) days, it will be deemed to have been refused."
5.In respect of SC/ST candidates, "promotion/appointment of the candidates is provisional subject to verification of their caste status. Head of the Unit will take an undertaking from the official to this effect at the time of their relieving and ensure verification of caste status within one month".
6.The Head of Divisions are requested to verify the Current Status of the candidature of the all qualified candidates before declaration of the result. If any discrepancy is found in respect of any item, the matter should immediately be reported to this office and respective result should not be declared until receipt of clearance from this office. Further, in case of any disciplinary/criminal/vigilance case is pending or punishment is current against any candidate, the matter should be referred to this office for obtaining the instructions and result should not be declared until receipt of clearance from this office.
7.The selection of the candidates is purely provisional subject to the fulfilment of required conditions of relevant Recruitment Rules. It may be ensured that no provisional candidate is given appointment without regularization of their candidature. The Divisions are requested to verify the current status of the candidature of the qualified candidates before promoting/appointing the official. The candidates undergoing punishment should not be promoted/appointed and such cases should be referred to this office as per Directorate letter no. X-7/6/2022-SPN-II dated 12.04.2022.
8.This result is also subject to any change in merit list of selected candidates for any reason in accordance with the existing Rules and Instructions on the subject.
