It has come to notice of Directorate that a number of officials promoted to grades of LSG. HSG-II and HSG-I are refusing their promotion. Primary reason of their refusal is either they have already drawing the pay of promoted post due to financial upgradation or they are not being posted to their preferred Postal Division on promotion.
2.On account of refusal of promotion, sufficient number of LSG. HSG-11 and HSG-I officials are not available in Circle to hold the respective grade of identified posts.
3.Refusal of promotion to some extent can be minimized by posting of officials to their preferred Postal Division as administratively possible. In view of the above. all Postal Circles are hereby requested to post the officials on their promotion to LSG/HSG-II/HSG-I cadre to their preferred Postal Division as administratively possible. In case even after doing so, still request for refusal of promotion is received. Circle should conduct supplementary DPC to fill up these vacancies as already informed vide this office of letter dated 03.08.2023.
