ADDENDUM

Sub: Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the Cadre of PA/SA for the vacancy year-2024 (01-01-2024 to 31-12-2024) Senior/Junior Clause-Regarding.

4 This is in continuation to this office NOTIFICATION of even number dated 11-06- on aforementioned subject regarding-Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the Cadre of PA/SA for the vacancy year-2024 (01-01-2024 to 31-12-2024)-insertion of Senior/Junior Clause. As directed by Postal Directorate New Delhi vide DE section letter having F.No. A-34012/02/2024-DE dated 26-06-2024 that the Senior/Junior Clause' is a part of Department of Posts (PA/SA) Recruitment Rules (RRs) 2022, (issued vide letter No. 04-05/2015-SPN-I dated 20-06- 2022), followed by amendment to the RRS dated 13-01-2022, which is Statuary Provision. So keeping in view of above and notification issued vide this office of even no. dated 11-06-2024, now the following clause shall be inserted in the said notification below Note 3 of point no. 3 (eligibility criteria) as Note 4:-

Note 4:- Where juniors who have completed their qualifying or eligibility service are being considered for promotion, their seniors would also be considered provided they are not short of the requisite qualifying or eligibility service by more than half of such qualifying or eligibility service or two years, whichever is less, and have successfully completed their probation period for promotion to the next higher grade along-with their juniors who have already completed such qualifying or eligibility service. This condition shall not be applied with reference to such junior officials who lost their seniority after availing transfer under Rule-38 of the Postal Manual Volume-IV.

3-12. All Divisional/ Unit Heads in HP Circle for information and giving wide publicity amongst eligible candidates working in division/unit. Ensure timely action as per the instructions contained in this Notification for smooth conduct of this examination process. All Divisional/Unit heads may acknowledge the receipt of this Notification & also send the required number of copies to the concerned Unions for their info & necessary action.
