Subject: Regarding acceptance of authorization forms in respect of All India Postal Employees Union Group 'C' (AIPEU Gr. C) and further deduction of membership fee through DDO.

Madam/Sir,

Various references have been received from Postal Circle's seeking clarification regarding acceptance of authorization forms in respect of All India Postal Employees Union Group 'C (AIPEU Gr. C) and further deduction of membership fee through DDO.

2.In this regard, it is to inform that the petitioner association has filed two cases before Hon'ble High Court of Calcutta (WP No. 12853/2023 and WP No 1334/2024). Vide order dated 19.04.2024 (copy enclosed) in WP No 1334/2024, Hon'ble High Court has directed that the Department can process application made by the employees for deducting contribution, however deduction amount will be subject to the final outcome of WP No. 12853 of 2023.

3.In compliance of order dated 19.04.2024 of Hon'ble High Court, Competent Authority has decided that the authorization forms for membership verification submitted by the Association shall be accepted by the Circles subject to final outcome of WP No. 12853/2023 as well as WP No. 1334 of 2024 and any other related matters pending in various courts.
