Sir/Ma'am,

This is regarding implementation of Citizenship (Amendment) Act-2019. As per the MHA notification the following is the composition of the District Level Committee (DLC):-

The issue of non- receipt of the nomination of the invitee member i.e. a representative not below the rank of Naib Tehsildar or equivalent from the district collector, was reported by the various Designated Officers/Circles. A number of applications have been received at various Districts across the country, however, Designated Officer concerned has not issued appointments to the applicants in view of the non receipt of nomination of invitee members of the states.

In such scenario, Designated Officers may be directed to issue appointments to the applicants and issue meeting notices to the respective District Magistrate/Collector with a request to direct the nominated invitee member to attend the District Level Committee meeting to process the applications. Further, the Quorum of each of the above Committees shall be two, including the chair, as notified by the MHA.
