Subject: GDS Rule-3 Online Transfer Cycle, May - 2024 - Schedule activities - reg.
Sir/Madam,
The online portal for transfer of GDS under 'Limited Transfer Facility' is being opened for submitting applications by GDSS and processing by the Divisions w.e.f. 21st of May, 2024. The Schedule of different activities would be as under:
Activities
Vacancy updation by Divisions/Units
Online Registration and submission of online applications
One-time modification in applications already submitted by candidate (limited to change of option/preference)
Timeline 7th to 15th May

21 to 27th May
28th to 29th May
Verification of online applications by the Divisions
30th to 3rd June
7th June
22th June
Release of list of transfers approved by CEPT
Relieving of GDS to join the new post
2. There would not be provision of applying against the tentative vacancies in this cycle, as GDS online engagement schedule is already delayed due to general elections. All the other provisions for transfer, including transfer on spouse grounds, order of priority etc. as elaborated this office letter of even no. dated 24.02.2023 (Copy enclosed), would continue to apply in thisCycle as well.
3. Subsequent to the release of the list of transfers approved, any decision on the issues, other than related to policy, shall be decided at the level of Head of

Region/Head of Circle in accordance with the instructions issued in the past Technical issues may be resolved by Circles in consultation with CEPT.
4. You are requested to ensure that Divisions strictly adhered to the aforesaid time schedule and guidelines issued on the subject from time to time. CEPT is also requested to ensure that portal is seamlessly available for all concerned as per the schedule.
