Dealt down time of SAP for the previous day

logon balancing error 88: Cannot connect with message server RC=9

Error Entry Format:

The SAP application has been down since 1230PM on 13/05/2024 and it could not be restored even after 0900 PM that the tentative time for restoration as informed by CEPT. Further, all invoiced articles and cash-related transactions done before 12:30 hours on 13/05/2024 remain uncleared in the SAP Module. Hence, all financial and non-financial transactions in the SAP module will be processed and accounting on 14/05/2024 for the previous day with this error entry.

Procedure to deal the SAP down occurrence:  

• Article returns may be  taken by approving delayed confirmation returns in DPMS Module.
• Other transactions like Cash remittance may be done for the current date with the above error entry.
• Only Manual voucher posting authorized by the Competent authority in time to time is allowed for the previous day.
• The transactions related to Cash/Cheque in Transit CBS, McCamish, IPPB, etc., transactions should strictly prohibited from manual voucher posting. 

The above instructions may vary Division to Division, Region to Region and Circle to Circle. This is sample format to be followed in the current scenario. This is may be used as reference for dealing the SAP down situation and this is not a final version and authorized method of dealing.
