POS Version 4.9.1 Update Guidelines

Dear Circle IT Team,

POS_4.9.1 version is scheduled to be rolled out in Tamil Nadu Circle after 5 PM on 20/11/2023

Please instruct the offices to upgrade both counter & Back-office application on 20/11/2023 5 PM today to refrain from any Business delay in morning hours tomorrow.

Steps to followed:

• Close Back-office & counter application at all nodes
• Run Daily sync and wait for successful execution.
• Launch the application, you will get pop-up to update the application
• Update both Counter & BO application to latest version (4.9.1)
• Run high sync and wait till successful execution without any error.
• Open this link in server system (http://172.19.64.105:8080/pos/Database_Build/Db_Patch_Renewal.zip).
• A zip file will be downloaded
• Extract it and run "DbActivity.bat" file.
• On successful execution, you will get a success message (Utility Executed Successfully).
• Proceed for the transaction.

Newly added feature in POS_4.9.1 version:

• Voice response is enabled for successful UPI transaction (at the time of Validate transaction button)

Pre-requisite:

• Speaker should be available and connected to system where UPI transaction is being done.
• Audio driver should be installed if not available in the system (Specifically Window 7)

Important Note:

• The response will be voiced out if a speaker is connected to counter where UPI transaction is being done
• Audio response will only be generated in case of “Successful Transaction.”
