Sub: Delivery of mails on Sundays and Holidays.

This is regarding delivery of mails on Sundays and Holidays.

There will be 3 (three) consecutive holidays (including Sunday) from 22.10.2023 to 24.10.2023. As a result, mails will not be delivered to the public for three days and this will create inconvenience to the public as well as to the Post office/ NDCs dealing with large volume of mails on the next working days.

Therefore, it is decided to make delivery of all types of mails/Parcel by Departmental delivery Post Offices/ NDCs on 23.10.2023 (Monday) and mail arrangement may kindly be made accordingly with the parent mail offices.

Keeping in view the closure of the Government and other offices for Puja vacation, minimum number of delivery staff should be called for duty.

The remuneration to the staff engaged for the delivery work may be paid as Directorate letter no-10-7/2001-PE-II dated 14.08.2015
