Subject: - FG/Security bond to be furnished by the Gramin Dak Sevaks - reg.
Madam/Sir,
Please refer to this office letter No 17-18/2018-GDS of even number dated 17.11.2021 wherein decision of the competent authority to discontinue the practice of obtaining FG/Security Bonds from GDS was conveyed. However, the GDS Union has brought to the notice of this Directorate that in some of the Circles action has not yet been taken to repay the security bonds, specifically, those held in the form of NSC, FD or TD form.
Please refer to this office letter No 17-18/2018-GDS of even number dated 17.11.2021 wherein decision of the competent authority to discontinue the practice of obtaining FG/Security Bonds from GDS was conveyed. However, the GDS Union has brought to the notice of this Directorate that in some of the Circles action has not yet been taken to repay the security bonds, specifically, those held in the form of NSC, FD or TD form.
2.Circles are requested to refer to this office instructions dated 17.11.2021 (supra), which inter-alia, provided that the existing FG/Security Bond need not be renewed after expiry of currency of the current Bond. Therefore, the Circle are required to take action for repayment of the bonds deposited after expiry of their currency period and ensure that the instructions contained in Dte. Lettter No. 17-18/2018-GDS dated 17.11.2021 are followed in the letter and spirit.
