AICPIN for the month of August 2023 Press Release PDF

In August 2023, the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) in India witnessed a decline of 0.5 points, resulting in a value of 139.2. This decrease represents a 0.36% decline in comparison to the previous month’s figure, whereas there was a 0.23% increase observed between the corresponding months of the previous year.

Calculation of Expected Dearness Allowance (DA) for January 2024:

The calculation of the anticipated Dearness Allowance (DA) for January 2024 will begin with the next installment! It will be based on the data gathered from the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPIN) for the period of July to December 2023. This process will be completed by December 2023.

To facilitate this calculation, our platform provides an intuitive online tool. This tool can be used by all categories of Central Government employees and pensioners to determine the applicable Dearness Allowance starting from the 1st of January 2024.
