Sub:Fixing of ceiling limit of reimbursement of communication expenses of officers/ officials on operational requirement.

In pursuance of para no. 1.4 & 4 of Office Memorandum no. 24(3)/E-Cord/2018 dated 26.03.2018 of ministry of Finance, department of Expenditure, New Delhi, the competent authority has constituted a committee to examine the ceiling limit of reimbursement of communication expenses of different level of officials/ officers of Gr A & B and below the level of different category which is shown as under. On the recommendation of the said committee, the competent authority has approved following ceiling limit of reimbursement of communication expenses of officers/ officials on operational requirement w.e.f. 01.03.2019.

Gr.A (Including ACAO posted in PAO)

Rs.1200/- per month + Taxes applicable

Gr. B including ASPOs/AAOs/AES/JES / Sr. PS to CPMG/ PS to PMG/ PS to DPS etc. and Sr A.O., A.O. & A.A.O staff posted in RO & PAO

Rs.1000/- per month + taxes applicable

IPOS/MES/Group leader/ Stenographers attached with SSPOS & SPOs / System Administrator

Rs.500/- per month + taxes applicable 

Mail Overseers/ Driver to staff Car  Inspection vehicles

Rs.300/-per month +taxes applicable

Reimbursement charges must be granted subject to following terms and conditions applicable to individuals

1. No SIM /data card will be provided by the office.
2. There will be no separate ceiling for the landline/mobile/broad band/mobile data/data card. The amount reimbursable will cover landline and/ or mobile/ broad band/mobile data/data card connection and shall be limited to the ceiling prescribed or as per actual whichever is lower. Call charges over and above the ceiling prescribed alongwith taxes thereon shall be paid by the officers.
3. The amount shall be reimbursed on submission of bills/receipts by the concerned officers. Officers are at liberty to choose the service provider and the tariff package for residential landline/mobile phones.
4. In case where husband and wife are sharing the same residential landline telephone and both are entitled for reimbursement, only one of them will be allowed reimbursement against residential landline telephone. The claim for the mobile phone charges shall be treated separately for each of the officers subject to the entitled ceiling.
5. Reimbursement for mobile will be restricted to the officer in whose name the mobile connection is registered.
6. This is in supersession of all earlier instructions on the subject issued by this office.
