This is regarding clarification on permitting candidates under Category B in view of Department of Posts (Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023 communicated vide this office letter under reference in c/w LDCE for PA/SA for the year 2023 to be held on 12.03.2023.
In this regard, I am directed to clarify that in respect of the candidates who are holding post in Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 of the Pay matrix as on crucial date of eligibility ie., 01.01.2023 and who have rendered regular service as GDS on or before the commencement of the Department of Post (Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant) Recruitment Rules, 2022 (ie., joined as GDS on or before 17.06.2022), the total regular service including the service rendered regularly as GDS shall be five years ie., If a candidate joined as GDS on or before 17.06.2022 and holding post in level 1 or level 2 or level 3 on 01.01.2023, then the total service including the service rendered regularly as GDS shall be five years for appearing under category "B".
