This is regarding discontinuation of Book Adjustment for PLI premium collected through salary deduction from other Departments / Ministries and APS. This is a major decision which needs careful monitoring for its successful implementation.
2. Further, PLI – CSI integration is also on cards and Book Adjustments cannot be continued thereafter due to technical issues.
3. In view of above, Book Adjustment for PLI premium collection through salary deduction is going to be discontinued w.e.f. 01st July, 2022. The remittance of PLI premia and GST amount together will be done through cash / cheque / NEFT to the concerned CPCs / HO along with their schedules.
4. Therefore, it is requested to issue instructions to all CPC's / HOs / Divisions that PLI schedules are to be accepted from Non-Postal DDOS along with Cash / Cheque / NEFT for policy updation in McCamish for the premium recovered from July, 2022, without fail.
5. In view of the importance of this exercise, Circle may consider setting up a Monitoring Cell / Control Room in CO for smooth completion of this transition.
