SOP for RICT Device status change || DARPAN download devicedetails binary

Prerequisite:

  1. Device undergone Rootfs and came back from Repair and wants to move the device to created state.
  2. No jobs(including installation of Apps) should be executed on the device once comes from the Rootfs

Follow the below steps:

  • Copy the below ‘devicedetails’ binary file to root location of the device using putty or winscp
Root folder under /root

Once it is successfully copied to the device, from putty give permissions to the binary using the below command – 

chmod 777 devicedetails
Run the binary using the command  -- 
./devicedetails
Once it is executed successfully, “Device details Capturing Successfully” message will be displayed as shown above.
  • devicedetails_enc.txt file will be generated in the root location of the device.
Copy this file into the local machine using Winscp as below


  • Login to MDM Portal and click on to Device Management -> Administration -> Device Status Change 

Note: The user who has MDM Admin Role can access this tab

  • Click on upload file radio button as shown below

  • Upload .txt file and provide the Device Id as below and click on Upload.
Note: Upload the generated file within 1 day (24 Hrs.) in the portal for processing.

If it is uploaded beyond 24 hrs, the below message appears


Once the file processed successfully, device will be moved to created state and status of the device will be shown in the below table.

Kindly note that once the file is uploaded in the MDM portal to move the device in created state, all the pending job for the device at server side will be expired and "Y" will appear in Expire of pending jobs column. In case of no pending jobs available, “NA” will appear in Expire of pending jobs column
