Steps to be followed after Device repair or Root FS
If the device came back from RH after repair, please mark the status of the device as “Back from Repair”.
Mother/Digital/Analog board replaced or Done with Root FS
In case Mother/Digital/Analog Board replaced and root Fs done in the device, Device needs to be moved to created state due to the following
- As Mother/Digital/Analog board changed, the MAC ID and UID will be changed and in order to change the same, RH feed should be upload for the deletion of the device and insertion again with the correct MAC ID and UID or else user activation/enrol jobs will get failed with error message “Invalid MAC ID and UID” in the job monitoring page of MDM portal and for device deletion through RH feed, device should be in stocked state and DM status in created state.
- Root FS done: In this case, all the data in the device will be deleted, but still the device is in provisioned state, hence when user submits the user activation/enroll device job, it will get failed with error message “Device seems to be Cleaned, please confirm and update DM Status to Created” in the job monitoring page of MDM portal.
For this, to move the device DM status from provisioned to created state, end user must share the screen shot of the output executing the below commands by raising a CSI SD ticket and the device status should be as "Back from Repair"
ls -lrt /home/dmclient/edatabase
ls -lrt /home/dmclient/edatabase/freshdb
fw_printenv
ls -al /home
Note: Commands should be executed properly by leaving space between ls, -lrt
and /home.
Based on the output screen shot RSI team will move the device to created state.
