How to Use Android Mobile phone as External GPS for Aadhar Client:

5. Android Mobile with Data Cable
Note: Make sure that first of all your android mobile is being detected by the PC with your data cable automatically. Otherwise this will not work for you and don’t proceed further.
Procedure:
Step-I:
1. Open Android mobile Settings > About Phone > Software Information à Build Number(click on it until you see message “You are a developer now”). This may vary from phone to phone. So, you can find build number and click on it until you get the above said message.
2. Open Android mobile Settings à Developer Options à Enable “USB Debugging”. In some phones it may be listed as “ADB Debugging”.
3. Enable GPS or Location Service in your mobile.
Step-2:
1. Install “Share GPS android application”. Open the application and grant all the permissions. Switch to “Connections” tab, click on “ADD”. Check “Setup by Activity”. Activity: 1st Option, Click on “OK”. Connection Method:2nd Option(USB). Name: My GPS. Click on Next and then click on OK.
2. You will see your “My GPS” as a connection. Click on it. “Listening” will be displayed.
Step-3:
1. Install “ADB and Fastboot application for windows” in your PC. Enable “Location” in PC.
2. Go to Desktop; double click on “Minimal ADB and Fastboot” shortcut icon. Don’t’ exit the application.
3. Connect your mobile with PC through data cable. If already plugged in, remove once and connect again.
4. Grant the permissions like “Allow Phone Data”, “Allow USB Debugging”.
5. Type “adb devices” in “Minimal ADB and Fastboot” command prompt application. Your device serial number will be listed. If it is displayed your device as “Unauthorized”, just remove and connect data cable once again and grant the permissions.
6. Type “adb forward tcp:20175 tcp:50000”.
Step-4:
1. Open “GPSCompletex64” application in your PC. Click on “Install Driver” under GPS Direct Driver Group. Select Options: NMEA Source: 127.0.0.1, Baud/Port: 20175, Check all boxes and then click on OK.
2. Click on “Install Driver” under COM Port Driver Group. Select Options: Use Sensor: “GPS Direct”, click on OK.
3. Click on “Install Service” under Transfer Tool Group. Select Options: Source: “Sensor Driver”, Destination: “COM Port Driver”, and then click on OK.
4. Switch to Tools tab, click on “Location Query”.
Step-5:
1. Go to Share GPS application, you will see that your connection is highlighted with green colour as “Connected”. In Command Prompt window, location data will be displayed.
Step-6:
1. Now your mobile will be used as “External GPS” to your PC and can be used in Google Maps or Aadhar Enrolment Client or any other maps in browser.
