CSI - CORE SYSTEM INTEGRATOR

• CSI is a program for postal operation made by TCS. It replaces the meghdoot and speed net software. It has certain new concept like General ledger code
• DOP is using 15 digit general ledger ac no but in CSI those number are converted into 10 digit GL code.

Accounting

It use double entry accounting system i.e. debit and credit. There are 3 type of accounts.

1. Personal Accounts- debit the receiver and credit the giver

2. Real Accounts- debit what comes in credit what goes out

3. Nominal Accounts- debit all expenses credit all income

Centre and Facility ID

1. Profit centre- office getting income

2. Cost centre- office bearing expenditure

3. Fund centre- office estimate budget

Accounting Period in CSI

1-April 2-May,3-June………………….10-January,11-February,12-March Year

From April-2017 to March-2018 is treated as 2017 in CSI

From April-2018 to March-2019 is treated as 2018 in CSI

1. DOP cash- cash with Treasurer [4867100010]

2. POS cash- cash with MPCM & SB PA [4867100011]

3. Transit cash-cash in transit [4867100000]
