Staff Welfare Suggestions in respect of COVID -19

The country is right now facing one of the deadliest pandemic ever witnessed by the world.

The union and the state governments are working 24/7 to curb this COVID-19 spread and we postal department employees are giving full support to the government.

In such adverse conditions, not only the postal fraternity but other essential service sector departments officials are risking their lives and their family's safety by doing service in highly infected areas.

In the wake of such crisis, the nation needed the services of many and we are continuously rendering the support to the call of our nation and we'll provide the same in future too.

A very few suggestions can be giving to the government as a mere employee of this department.

1) The COVID-19 treatment costs of the civil employees who were treated in government/private hospitals had to be either borne by the government under by the health insurance schemes/they might be given an option to reimburse the same from their NPS account.

2) The Government may release DA for the departments which were notified as essential service.

3) The NPS employees who were lost their lives during this pandemic due to COVID-19 infection, their family must be covered under old pension scheme immediately if he/she is the sole earning member of the family.

4) The surviving members of the deceased COVID-19 employees must be given employment under compassionate grounds.

5) The educational fees of the wards of the deceased COVID-19 employees (Single earning) must be borne by the government or else they might be moved to Navodaya/Kendriya vidyalaya/government institutions in respect of the College.

We are doing our duty to the nation for the past one year in this pandemic and it's the turn of the government to consider a very few of the suggestions put forth in belief that it'll be surely considered for the well being of the one's and their family who have showed their Lionheart in this pandemic by serving to their nation.
