How to install or update application offline mode in RICT Device through USB Disk or Pen drive?

OFFLINE PROCEDURE TO UPDATE THE APPS IN RICT DEVICES

NOTE:-ONLY UPDATED WHEN DM CLIENT UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION

1. Login in MDM Portal https://darpanportal.indiapost.gov.in:9445/dop/home

2. Go to Device Management.

3. Go to OFFLINE MANAGEMENT under Device Management Option

4. Here you can enter Device ID or Branch Office -> Account Office Name then apply filter to fetch the device details

5. Click on Prepare jobs for the selected device.

6. Select Job type in offline management > Offline Jobs

7. Choose Job Sub Type as Other Apps :

Platform : Linux || Operation: Install/Remove/Update || App Name : select application || Version : always choose latest version

Available Application under other application category in MDM portal

BPMDVMGMT

CBSDOP

EMO

PLIDOP

CommonApp

DEMOBOOKING

DELAPPS

What is the order for installing the Application in fresh /new / flashed RICT Device ?

1. COMMONAPP
2. DEMOBOOKING
3. DELAPPS

PLIDOP and CBSDOP can install either before or after the above mentioned order. BPMDVMGMT application used to enroll the biometric of BPM or Substitute user.

8. Once all application added, Click Generate Package to generate the click on Download Package

• Copy or Sent to the Downloaded package to RICT Pendrive 

On RICT Device:

• Insert Pendrive carefully before that ensure the existence of generated package in the pen drive

On Device, Click Offline > Offline Jobs 

Offline DM Client will take the offline packages available in the Pen drive. The following message is displaying once the package found

The offline package is as of date : XX/XX/XX XX:XX:XX

Do you want to proceed? Yes or No.

DM client will do the following operations:

• Checking USB
• USB enable success
• Mounting USB drive
• Mounting SuccessFul
• Scanning USB

This process would take 15minutes.

• After that the application available in the offline package displaying as attached below 

Click on OK to proceed further.

Each and every app installation the above message displayed on DARPAN Device. 

OS upgradation in progress.. System will go down in few seconds
