Sub: Automatic capturing of date of delivery & date of dispatch of the registered article containing policy bond document to be delivered to PLI/RPLI insurard-reg

It is to inform that as per the provision of PO1J rules-2011, insurant who procure new policies have been provided facility of cancellation of policy under 'Free-look' period of 15 days from the date of delivery of policy bond to the insurant. Presently, date of delivery of policy bond is entered in McCamIsh system manually by CPC users, as and when any case/request for cancellation of poky is received under this facility.

2. The automation of capturing date of delivery & date of dispatch of registered article containing policy bond has been implemented in the systems (i.e. FSI & CSI). this would enable automatic capturing of date of delivery in the CIS' for registered article containing policy bond inducted at CSI-POS.

3. In addition, it is also to Inform that policy bond integration related changes have been deployed in production on 14 June 2020. Accordingly, policy bond tracking functionality as part of latest vamion CS1 POS (version 4.2) is being Implemented in phased manner in 1-10s/PLI-CPCs. At present, the above changes are operational in 19 Circles namely Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Assam Odisha, Chhattisgarh • Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan. Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka Circles.

4. Circles are therefore requested to please issue necessary directions to PLI-CPCs under their jurisdiction to ensure that poky bond documents are dispatched to the PLI/RPLI insurant through registered post using the policy bond functionality so that as and when any case/request for cancellation of policy is received under 'free-look' period, manual intervention of users in the CPC in entering date of delivery & date of dispatch in the CIS application can be eliminated.

5. A brief of the above process is enclosed at 'Annexure-A' and the process of induction of registered articles containing policy bond document in the CSI-POS (version 4.2) is enclosed at 'Annexure-B' for kind reference and circulation to all PLI-CPCs in the respective Ckclea.

6. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
