Subject: Total Lock down in West Bengal on 23., 25th and 29th July, 2020 to contain the spread of COV1D-19 — reg. 

Government of West Bengal has ordered a total state-wide lock down on 23. (Thursday), 25. (Saturday) and 29. July. 2020 (Wednesday) from 6 AM to 10 PM to contain the spread of COVID-19.

2. Postal operations have not been granted any exemption during the I.k down in the State affecting entire postal operations including receipt of mail from Parcel / Passenger trains. Air and RTNs. 

3. Circles are, therefore, request. to ensure the dispatch of mail to West Bengal Circle through Parcel / Passenger trains in such a manner so that the arrival date of such Parcel / passenger trains do not fall on 23'd (Thursday), 25. (Saturday) and 29. July, 2020 (Wednesday). No mail should be sent by Air / RTN reaching Kolkata on 23rd, 25th and 29th July 2020. 

4. Necessary instructions to the Transit Mail Offices in the Circle may kindly be issued accordingly.
