Major Issues faced by CBS Post Offices || Escalated to Directorate

This is regarding request for settlement of major issues faced by CBS Post Offices.


  1. Finacle is not working properly in most Post Office having Windows 10 OS with NSP2 connectivity
  2. Network accessibility is slow upto 11 hours even on normal days. Finacle Server is getting down frequently. It may be resolved.
  3. Latest Gazette Notification orders were not implemented in Finacle i.e withdrawal in an account is allowed in finacle upto Zero balance.
  4. Live accounts report could not be generated at SO level for submission of report regarding passbooks not received for interest posting to Sub Divisional Head.
  5. Silent accounts reports could not be generated at SO level.
  6. No Gender/DOB validation is done while opening of SSA account.
  7. In CRDP menu if RD pending number of instalments is shown, it will be helpful.
  8. RD auto credit option shall be included in CRDOAAC or CRDACM menu instead of HSSI Menu.
  9. Now CTM menu is used for both deposit and withdrawal. Unique menu holding for deposit/withdrawal like CDEP, CWDL may be introduced for more user friendliness
  10. In RD death claim closure value could not be credited into SB Account directly.
  11. At present BO new account amount reflects in SO consolidation. It should be incorporated in BO consolidation and LOT
  12. RD defaults fee for the RD deposit for the month prior to March 2020 is not reflected in finacle.
  13. Premature closure of KVP/NSC/RD/TD before the lock in period is allowed in Finacle.
  14. As per the GSPR revised scheme rules dated 12.12.2020, The SB accounts can be opened only under the two categories SBGEN and SBCHQ. Pension account under the category SBPEN is not allowed but when a SB Single account is opened under the category SBGEN and the pension amount is credited into that account further deposit cash is not allowed in finacle in that account.
  15. As per SB Order 12/2020 conversion of Single account into joint and vice versa is not admissible. But it is allowed in Finacle.
  16. RD Loan disbursemet is not coming under clocking validation. It should be included in blocking validation.
  17. RD discontinued account BO wise list not available at SO.
  18. BO account could not be transferred to SO.
  19. In SCSS consolidation, amount if TDS deducted is not shown in the report. If it is displayed, it will be helpful for e-filling.
  20. Form 15G/H new report option for viewing which SCSS account it was given for TDS exemption in particular SOL.
  21. Teller cash non zero issue - irrelevant transaction/multiple automatic system transaction entries between teller and valult while working in POS counter. The excess amount has to be sent to vault manually.
  22. In BO for SB new acocunt opening, HTM transactions are allowed for verification before the verification of new account.
  23. HTM allows the user to credit into sundry account instead of SB account to be credited.
  24. Changes required in MIS server:
  25. SO wise accounts opened/closed details could betaken in one report, Branch officewise account opened/closed report is required in single screen for all categories combined together.
  26. Report for viewing SCWF accounts closed, report is required for HO/ Division set ID.
  27. Kindly providing option to see ATM cards in stock currently in each SOL in Division with Division Set ID.
  28. No of accounts enabled with Internet Banking and Mobile Banking SOL wise report if required with Division set ID
  29. In report number 63: for social security scheme officewise report kindly enable viewing option with Division set ID as currently report could be viewed with Circle set ID tamil only 
  30. HACSP menu the number of accounts opened/closed report is generated only in PDF format. If it is available in excel it will be helpful
