CAT Order regarding LDCE IP Examination Result | OMR Sheet Hall Ticket Number Error

Order of The Tribunal
Heard Sri Siva, learned counsel for the applicant.
2. Sri A. Radhakrishnan, learned Senior Panel Counsel took notice for the respondents and advanced his arguments.

3. The present case is regarding selection for promotion to the post of Inspector of Posts. The applicant claims that he has appeared in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination prescribed for the selection. In 3 papers, he got marks which are very close to the marks obtained by the topper in the Telangana Postal Circle. In the 4th paper, he has made a mistake in bubbling the Hall Ticket number correctly albeit he has written the Hall Ticket number correctly in Paper IV. The respondents have thus not selected the applicant on the ground that the hall ticket was not properly bubbled, resulting in his name figuring in the rejected list.

4. Learned counsel for the applicant prayed for keeping one post of Inspector vacant till the OA is decided as he has relied upon number of court cases which, he claims, are in his favour.

5. Learned counsel for the respondents stated that Director General of Posts issued instructions directing not to act on the results of LDCE dated 24.06.2020 till further instructions. Therefore the need for any interim order does not arise. He requests time to revert to this Tribunal with standing instructions.
6. After hearing the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned counsel for the respondents, respondents are directed not to act on results announced Annexure A1 Memo dated 24.06.2020 till the next date of hearing.
