Subject : Preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 In Department of Posts, Oak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi. 
The undersigned Is directed to say that four Officers/Officials of Department of Posts in Oak Bhawan have tested Covid- 19 Positive (List Is attached at Annex.•I). All the officers / officials who are in high risk category as per the provisions in SOP circulated by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on 04th June, 2020 (copy attached as Annexure-II), are advised to undergo home quarantine for a period of two weeks w.e.f. the date on which they have come in close proximity with the infected officer / official or as per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare under Intimation to his concerned reporting officer and administration. Officials who are home quarantined, with no or mild symptoms, shall work from home and continue to check / forward / monitor emalls, etc. 

2. The officials undergoing home self quarantine should closely monitor their health. In case, they develop any of symptoms of COVID 19 as notified by Ministry of Health, they may get themselves tested for COVID and keep the office informed. 

3. The Directorate, Dak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, shall remain closed on 15th & 16th June, 2020 for required sanitisation and shall open at normal working hours on Wednesday, ir June, 2020. 

4. In order to ensure utmost care and precaution to contain the spread of COVID 19; it is advised to Members / DDsG / CGM concerned that minimum possible staff may be called to office to attend immediate nature of work. The normal work may be disposed off from home through e-office and e-mails. All officers / officials should check their status on "Aarogya Setu App" as per guidelines before coming to office. 

5. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.

Risk profiling of contacts Contacts are persons who have been exposed to a confirmed case anytime between 2 days prior to onset of symptoms (in the positive case) and the date of Isolation (or maximum 14 days after the symptom onset In the case). 

High-risk contact 

  • Touched body fluids of the patient (respiratory tract secretions, blood, vomit, saliva, urine, faeces; e.g. being coughed on, touching used paper tissues with a bare hand) 
  • Had direct physical contact with the body of the patient including physical examination without PPF Touched or cleaned the linens, clothes, or dishes of the patient.
  • lives In the same household as the patient. 
  • Anyone In close proximity (within 1 meter) of the confirmed case without precautions.
  • Passengers in dose proximity (within 1 meter) In a conveyance with a symptomatic person who later tested positive for C01/11)-19 for more than 6 hours_

low-risk contact  

  • Shared the same space (worked in same room/similar) but not having a  high-risk exposure exposure to confirmed case of COVID-19. 
  • Travelled in same environment (bus/train/flight/any mode)  but not having a  high-risk exposure.
