Booking of PPOs tendered by CAPO under CGA through Speed Post / BNPL

Booking of PPOs tendered by the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) under Controller General of Account under Bulk Speed Post / BNPL

Controller General of Accounts, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has intimated that the Pension Payment Order (PPO) tendered by the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) are not being accepted by the Post Offices/ BNPL centres under bulk Speed Post/BNPL. It was further communicated by CGA that the government payments have been categorized as essential services under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The request of the Controller General of Accounts has been Examined. Government Payments includes pension payments, have been categorized under essential services during the period of lock down.

Circles are, therefore, requested to provide th Bulk/BNPL Speed Post Services to the Customers for booking of PPOs to facilitate the payment of Pension to the Pensioners. All field units may be instructed accordingly.
